This year at the River Fest outreach we tried a new ministry. Two Cowboy Church planters and their wives came from North Carolina to Wichita to help us with this ministry. They had shipped me 1,000 horse shoes with John 3:16 stamped on either end. We borrowed 2 anvils and stands and set up a booth on the front lawn of Metropolitan. People would give us their name and the two guys from N.C. would had stamp each person name on it, paint it black and attach a card on it with the plan of salvation and church information. While the people were waiting for the horseshoes we took them aside in groups to share the Gospel. Right at 100 people prayed with us to receive Christ and then got their personalized horseshoe.
Three of our churches who witnessed this ministry asked to be able to do it for VBS and block parties. I was able to find and purchase anvils, stamps and hammers so we can continue with this ministry. If anyone is interested in this ministry please contact Loren at 316-943-3446.
