Making a Difference as a Volunteer in 2005

Attention: High School Juniors and Seniors and College Students

Summer Missionaries needed in Kansas and Nebraska?

Your work would concentrate on helping in community ministries, ministering to teenagers, children, and assisting in church planting activities. You may help with children's camps, VBS, Backyard Bible clubs, survey work in an unreached community, help with a new work starting in a trailer park or apartment complex, or serve at a Baptist Center.

Applications can be filled out at www.answerthecall.net and they will be forwarded to KNCSB.

Requirements to Serve:

  • You must have completed your Junior year in High School to go as a High School Missionary (exceptions are considered).
  • You must have completed your Freshman year in College to go as a College Missionary.
  • You must be a member in good standing of a Southern Baptist Church.
  • You must attend an introduction/orientation session in Topeka prior to your service in the field.
  • You can serve as a missionary from four to ten weeks, June through August.

Your meals, room, and transportation while in the field will be covered by the church you are serving. Your church might like to provide a love offering for transportation to and from the sight and for appreciation of the work you will be providing during the summer. Stipends that have been provided in the past may not be available, however we are encouraging churches to sponsor their youth.
