Vacation Bible School 2008 - Help Needed?!?
Sunday School: Terry Beasley
Thursday, May 1, 2008
As your church continues planning for your 2008 Vacation Bible School event, you may find that you have needs. Here are three ways the HOKSBA may be able to assist you!
First, contact the HOKSBA office at 943-3446 and give us the dates and times of your VBS event. This will allow us to share with churches the names of other churches that may have recently completed their VBS and may have resources or decorations that they would be willing to pass on to a sister church. By all the churches of the Association having their dates on the Associational calendar, this makes connecting churches with others much easier.
Second, we have an Associational VBS box that has resources for "Outrigger Island". If your church is using that curriculum and you can use a second copy of a teacher book or other similar resource, contact the HOKSBA office and ask for the box to be reserved for your church's use the week of your VBS. The materials in this box are not intended to be consumed by any one church so please don't plan on using-up the resources!
Third, Mark Jackson will have several summer missionaries that he may be able to make available to assist your church with their VBS. If this is an area of need, contact Mark and make your request known.
If there are other things that we can do as an Association to assist you in planning, preparing and implementing your Vacation Bible School, please do not hesitate to contact one of the following Associational VBS team members: Terry Beasley, Sharon Baptist Church; Linda Hingst (crafts), Calvary Baptist in Valley Center; Jean Edwards (preschool), Metropolitan Baptist; Lois Mercer (children), Midway Baptist; or Dana Bishop (music), Sharon Baptist.
