How would those around you complete that sentence? How would you define Sunday School? Sunday School is the foundation strategy in a local church for leading people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for building on-mission Christians through open Bible Study groups that engage people in evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and worship. When we see Sunday School as Bible Study, our members can think that we are doing well when they have had a good Bible Study. They miss the fact that we should be seeking to see people come to faith and to grow in Christ. Who is your Sunday School class praying about and inviting to Sunday School because they need to know the Lord or to be growing in the Lord?

Flight School 2005

Plans are being made for our September 19 and 20 training time. Your team has been surveying each group and church to know what your needs are and to plan conferences to meet those needs. We want the training to be one that enables all of us to be better prepared to serve the Lord in the tasks He has called us to do for the Kingdom. If you have suggestions you have thought of recently, call me at 683-3042 so we can know about your need.

Vacation Bible School 2005

Plans are being made by many of our churches for VBS. We have a number of churches that will be receiving help from churches in Arkansas. Pray for these partnerships to be fruitful. Several churches will be having VBS for the first time or the first time in several years.
Some VBS materials can be checked out from the Association Office. You can call to reserve the snow cone machine, the stand-up figure or the blow up gasoline pump as well as one set of teaching materials. We want to help you have a successful VBS.

Call me for answers to questions. I would also appreciate knowing when you will be having VBS. My visits are brief but I do like to stop by and see all the fun you are having with the children.

Remember to enlist your follow-up team when you enlist your teachers. We discover more prospects through VBS than any other ministry. Follow-up IMMEDIATELY after VBS can see those prospects become your new Sunday School members.
