Friday, August 26, 2005
Pleasantview Baptist Church of Derby, Kansas, and KNCSB are partnering to bring an Acts 1:8 conference for those over 50. The purpose of the conference is to challenge those approaching retirement years or already in retirement to consider the mission opportunities that God might have in store.
The conference will be held at Pleasantview on October 15, 2005 beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending with lunch at noon. The conference cost will be $20.
The conference will look at several mission challenges:
- Evangelism
- Local Church Missions
- Associational and State Missions
- Home and International Missions
- Prayer for Missions
The conference will feature a number of KNCSB mission specialists leading sessions on these mission challenges. R. Rex "Peck" Lindsay, KNCSB Executive Director, will bring the keynote address.
There will also be a mission project in the afternoon for those who wish to participate. Survey work for a new church plant in Derby will be done.
