Health Fair at Calvary Baptist

The Second Annual Health & Safety Fair will be held August 27, 2005 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 320 N Sheridan St., Valley Center. There will be over twenty booths demonstrating and providing information on a variety of health issues. Screenings for lipids, cholesterol, osteoporosis, blood pressure, blood sugar and other blood work will be offered for free or at a nominal fee.
Kansas Highway Patrol officers, Sedgwick County deputies and Valley Center Police officers, along with other businesses will be on hand to discuss safety issues. Vince and Larry, the crash test dummies, will also make a special appearance. Topics such as D.A.R.E. and Ident-A-Kid programs will be explained. Equipment for hearing protection and eye safety will be available along with other safety information.
All health and safety information will be useful for now and/or future reference. No admission will be charged and the public is invited.
