Voting and Riverfest
From the D.O.M.: Pat Bullock

What an opportunity to take a stand for biblical standards and God's righteousness! The Constitutional Marriage Amendment is on the line. The church must step up to the plate. We promised the leadership in Topeka that our churches would show up to vote on April 5, 2005 if they would get it on the ballot. The homosexual crowd is spending thousands of dollars and man-hours trying to defeat it. We have more to lose than they do because we are attempting to change the moral standards of our country.
Riverfest
Every church is going to have an opportunity to reach out to hundreds of unchurched people during the Wichita River Festival celebration. The association is attempting to help churches lead out in an evangelistic encounter during this time. Metropolitan Baptist Church is participating in a big way and has caught a vision of using this event to reach out to the lost and dying. Every church is urged to take advantage of the evangelism training and aggressive effort to reach more people for Christ.
