There was a report of a woman who had a very rare blood type. Her blood was in great demand for people needing a transfusion. She may have given several gallons in her lifetime because even with all the computers and advanced technology scientists cannot develop a synthetic blood that will sustain life. When the Bible says, "the life is in the blood" it was scientifically accurate. It seems to me that there is someone in charge of giving life and providing a life-sustaining blood. No matter what the world thinks, there is a God who created life and sustains it.
The world views Christianity as a "bloody religion." They are right about our source of eternal life, which is the shed blood of Jesus. It still takes Christ's blood to remove our sins. There is no synthetic or man-made religion that can produce spiritual life. Our goal as an association and individual churches is to point people to the blood of Christ for a transfusion of God's life. There is no other place to get life. It is imperative that we continue to preach and teach that sin demands God's judgment and causes physical and spiritual death. It is imperative that we direct everyone to the source of life after showing the source of death.
Jesus didn't give a little blood at a time but gave all of it at one time to cover our sin. What a privilege to tell people that Jesus rescues the dying and cares for the fallen. My prayer is that I will be bolder than ever about telling everyone about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
