The Home Mission Board's brochure answers the question, "What Does an Associational Director of Missions Do?" This is part 2 of that answer: "A Director of Missions is concerned for the total life of specific churches over an extended period of time. A director can provide a unique ministry to churches because of his closeness to them and his ability to maintain a certain objectivity toward them. No one else in the denomination is in a position to care about a particular group of churches the way a Director of Missions is."

HOKSBA's EXECUTIVE BOARD approves funding from the Danny Dirks Mission Fund to purchase a shower trailer to be used by the associational disaster relief team and churches involved in a mission project. It was also noted that the disaster relief team would have precedence over the use of the trailer if a disaster were to occur. This is a tremendous witnessing tool and a blessing of God.

We welcome Pastor William Jones and his core group who are prepared to start SPIRIT OF PEACEBAPTIST CHURCH in the Cedar Pointe Baptist Church facility.

The Associational Missions Development Council (AMDC) has plans to schedule a mission's fair during the Evangelism Rally in 2007. They are planning to attempt a Vision Tour in the association with a core group from Arkansas. A Vision Tour consists of those involved in a partnership such as KNCSB and the Arkansas State Convention touring our area to catch a vision of how they could be a part of mission work among our churches.

A number of our churches made mission trips to Mississippi and Louisiana to work with churches in the devastated hurricane areas. Other churches have sent people overseas and out of the U.S. to work in missions. God blesses when churches are committed to missions and church planting.
