June is another busy month even though we do not have Minister's conference again until the middle of August. It is necessary for me to be gone from June 11 until June 24. I will have outpatient surgery in Austin, TX on June 13 with a three day recovery period, so I'm told. Nancy and I will leave Wichita on June 19 for the Southern Baptist Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
Riverfest Was a God-thing!
Mark Jackson will tell you more about it. It was an exciting time because of the number of conversions and the excitement it generated among the churches who participated. There are plans being made as I write this article to have an even bigger event next year. We give God all the praise!
Brad Brisco leaves for the Kansas City Baptist Association July 1. Bro. Brad has done a stellar job as a Church Planter Strategist and will be highly missed. Please pray for him and his family as they make this transition in their lives. He will be doing the same ministry in Kansas City.
Let me remind you of the "Answering the Call" radio program on AM 1330 at 8:00 p.m. every Sunday night. It reaches five states now and they are talking about syndicating it. Bros. Joe Wright and Terry Fox have a call-in program on which current events are discussed from a biblical worldview.
