THE VISION TOUR WAS A BLESSING!
The Vision Tour was an exciting and revealing event. It allowed our own pastors and churches to see the mission opportunities along with the nineteen churches from other states. The response from the visiting churches has been overwhelming. We believe we will see money, materials and manpower come to the Wichita area to help with the Set Free house, Planeview Hispanic Center and many other mission works in progress.
I want to thank the North American Mission Board for making this event possible. They paid for the transportation of all our visitors. This was truly a partnership with NAMB, KNCSB and HOKSBA. This was made possible from churches cooperating together financially and personally.
May 7-9 is another opportunity for our churches to have an impact on the direction of the Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists and HOKSBA. We will begin the STRATEGIC FOCUS COMMUNITIES LISTENG SESSIONS. The state staff from Topeka will come to our association to listen to pastors as they share how the state convention and the association can better meet needs in their churches.
I will be contacting the pastors to have them scheduled for one hour segments with representatives from KNCSB. This will help determine a more effective way of serving the local New Testament Church.
