No matter how old you are, life is always interesting and exciting when you belong to the Lord. No matter what age you are you have been there before and life takes on different meanings at different times. This is especially an exciting time Nancy and me as I will be announcing my retirement at the Executive Board meeting in January. Our plans are to serve until December of 2007.
We will be helping the association prepare and plan for the future during this time of transition.
There are several things I am thankful to God for in these past ten years of serving the churches of HOKSBA.
- The pastors have bee cooperative and concerned to see missions, church planting and evangelism emphasized.
- The churches have been wonderful to me as I have had the privilege of being their transitional pastor or share a word with them.
- The retired pastors have added a great source of wisdom and joy to whatever was taking place in the association.
- God has given me the greatest staff at the association office anyone could ask for.
It is my goal to continue to see that the association will continue to support the pastors by providing every available resource at our disposal. It has been our philosophy that the pastors are the shepherds and must be held in high esteem because they care for God's treasures-HIS CHURCHES.
