RiverFest 2008
It is not too early to start thinking about next year's River Fest outreach. God truly blessed us last year with more volunteers and we were able to pray with over 200 people to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. We will have plan on having Team Impact back to put on an event on Saturday May 17. We will also be inviting members from the ICE team to share the Gospel on the streets and to train any of our members who God has pricked their hearts to share. We will have the inflatable moon walk and obstacle course there and the WMU will be providing hot dogs and snacks for lunch. Last year we had many more churches involved and are praying for even more this year. What a great way to reach out to our community and visitors from across the state.
Mardis Gras 2008
For the fourth year in a row we will be taking a team to New Orleans to share the Gospel at Mardis Gras. This dark, dark place needs for us to be there to share with them about the Light of the World, Jesus. We will be leaving here at 4:00 PM on Thursday Jan 31 and returning late afternoon on Sunday February 3. Our prayer is to have at least two full vans going. We will always pair up first timers with men that have been there before. Last year we gave out over 60,000 tracts and shared the Gospel numerous times. We have a chance to share with and reach out and touch people that might not otherwise ever hear the Gospel.
Sturgis Bike Rally 2008
Please let me know soon if anyone would be interested in doing an evangelistic mission trip to Sturgis South Dakota during the Sturgis motorcycle rally. Another great opportunity to share the Gospel with this lost and dying world and especially this particular people group. The Dakotas association uses a very unique way to get an audience to listen to the Gospel. They purchase a new Harley and raffle it off people get a raffle ticket by listening to a Gospel presentation. Hundreds of people heard the Gospel last year and many gave their life to our Savior.
