Evangelism Training for River Fest

Friday, February 25, 2005

ICE is an intentional evangelism strategy developed by the North American Mission Board that provides a way of sharing your faith in the context of North America or overseas. In a North Carolina farming community east of Raleigh, members of Serenity Baptist Church were trained in this method. After three training sessions using The Net and One Hour/One Day evangelism training methods, 12 members of the church shared their faith with teens hanging out in a local shopping center. An hour and a half later, 15 people had prayed to receive Christ.

After a training class at a church in Wichita, Kansas, one of the youth gathered up two youth visitors and shared the EvangeCube with them. Both of them accepted Christ.

Nearly a hundred churches in North America have taken part in ICE training, providing evangelism strategies to hundreds of people. Now it's catching on with churches in India where the training materials have been translated.

"ICE works in just about any context," says Victor Benavides, manager of Inner-City Evangelism." Let's touch Wichita with the Gospel this May.

There will be an ICE training event featuring Victor Benavides at Metropolitan Baptist Church on April 23 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
