Evangelism Rally
Evangelism: Mark Jackson
Tuesday, September 27, 2005
This year's Evangelism Rally was a great success! Dr. Ergun Caner spoke on five occasions (two church services, a youth rally, the Minister's Conference, and the Evangelism Rally) to 4,700 people. The evening service had 2,700 in attendance, which is the largest turnout we have experienced except for the IMB and NAMB commissioning services. It was sure wonderful to have all those folks in one location. Thank you Terry Fox and Immanuel Baptist. The new sanctuary was a blessing! We left motivated and better equipped to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone in our lives and especially with those of a Muslim background. The generous love offering taken at the Sunday evening service will cover most of our expenses.
Let your worship minister know how much you appreciated the awesome worship service. Nate Hart and the River Community Church praise band were also a special blessing for us. Jeff Lawson of Pleasantview Baptist did a great job of leading the choir in "Ye Shall Be Witnesses" and it was difficult to contain ourselves as Patrick Plant led the choir in a stirring rendition of "Days of Elijah". Thank you Larry Jones and Brian Morgan for the orchestra and the sound and technical support.
We also appreciate Kelly Randolph and Country Acres for sharing their facility and workers in the set up and preparation of the meal for the Minister's Conference.
Dr. Ergun Caner shared with me that we must have one of the top five associations in the country. Not only did we have great numbers but Dr. Caner said the people all had a great spirit of worship and responsiveness to the message.
I also want to thank Pat Bullock and the Heart of Kansas Southern Baptist Association for allowing me the opportunity of serving you in this great endeavor. God has blessed us with a great association. Great things He has done!
