Viola Webb State Missions Offering

Thursday, May 1, 2008

Every year we take an offering for missions work in our two-state convention. The offering is named after one of the pioneers in Southern Baptist work in our area, Viola Webb. The funds from this are used to support a number of ministry evangelism projects. In our association we support Focus International, the jail ministry, Hispanic and black church plants, Westside Good Neighbor Center, Cottage Grove Good Neighbor Center, the food bank at South City Southern Baptist Church, Midway House, and the Kansas Nebraska Equestrian Fellowship.

Fifty percent of your offerings are returned directly to the Heart of Kansas Southern Baptist Association for distribution to various ministries. The remaining fifty percent is used to support various ministries throughout the state which includes some of our ministries. This enables us to help reach areas of our state that may not have the resources to spread the gospel in their community.

The Viola Webb State Missions Offering is an important part of our strategy to increase the Kingdom of God. Please give generously through your church.
