Pow Wow Report
Church Planting: Perry Wamego
Sunday, July 1, 2007
On Sunday, May 20, 2007, my wife Betty and I went to the American Indian Museum to watch the Pow Wow as well as to witness and obtain American Indian contacts for proposed Bible studies with the purpose of eventually establishing another Baptist American Indian church. We had a very successful day and the Lord was very much in the whole process.
We received much needed help from members of the Indian Avenue Baptist church, Lawrence, Kansas, led by Hubert and Janet White and Indian Southern Baptist Church, Wichita. We appreciated their help so very much.
We are happy to report that we contacted eighty-seven names of potential members for our Lord's Kingdom. Hallelujah!!!
I would also like to add that a young American Indian dancer friend of ours, Jay Mule, from Ardmore, Oklahoma, performed at the Pow Wow and won first place. He is a Christian fancy dancer and he performs all his dancing to the honor and glory of the Lord. He preaches, teaches and exemplifies good Christian values to his youth group.
Praise the Lord! He helped bring us successful days!!
