Church Planting: Mark Jackson

How will you spend the rest of your life? Making more money? Accumulating more stuff? More and more baby boomers are beginning to face this question. We have accumulated vast resources through the blessings of God but have found the results to be disturbingly empty. As a group, we are beginning to consider the legacy we will leave.
Scripture teaches that the souls of men and women and God's Word will last forever. Jesus said that even "Heaven and earth shall pass away." It would seem then, that since we have provided for all our earthly needs, it is time to invest in the Word of God and the souls of men and women.
Just three years ago, I began to make a plan for the remainder of my life. God liked the plan but my timetable was a little off, so He helped me get on His schedule. I am glad I invested my first half like I did but the second half of life is proving to be much more exciting and rewarding.
If you would like to explore this topic a little more, I would suggest reading Half Time by Bob Buford. I keep a few copies in my office.
Let's get together for coffee and visit!
